Our Service

SERVICE WE PROVIDE AND WHAT IS INCLUDED

Our service is one of the most complete in the industry.

Please note, to reduce redundancy on this page we will refer to receptacles, switches, light fixtures, junction boxes, fans, installed appliances, fan/lights, fan controls, and other outlets where electrical connections exist as "outlets."
1.We ask about any know problem areas. We want to take care of these as soon as possible, eliminating known hazards first.
2.We inspect for other less obvious problems that may have gone unnoticed. They are next to be repaired.
3.We work one room and or circuit at a time. We locate and identify each outlet. We open these outlets inspecting for code violations and the presents of aluminum wire.
4.We install CopAlum on each connection involving aluminum wire in accordance with U. S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recommendations and Tyco specifications.
5.We repair other found code violations. Unless these repairs are extensive, we do not charge extra for the repairs. If a problem is extensive, we will discuss the problem, possible remediation, and any extra costs with the homeowner before we proceed.
6.We replace existing switches and receptacles with new white DECORA devices with new cover plates. Some of these devices are over thirty years old. We do not want to take any chances. The costs of the new devices are included in our price. If a different style or color of devices are desired a small up-charge may be necessary.
7.Install Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) receptacles where required by the National Electrical Code. This is another no cost extra for our customers. GFCI receptacles protect people from electrocution. They are required outside, garages, unfinished basements, outlets close to sinks, etc. Your safety is our top priority.
8.We will reinstall the existing lights, fans, etc. provided they are in good working order. If the homeowner furnishes new fixtures, we install them at no additional cost. Chandeliers or other large fixtures may require a small up-charge. Some homeowners like to have paddle fans installed where there once were regular light fixtures. Paddle fans require a fan rated box to assure the fan stays mounted on the ceiling. We handle this on a per job basis; however, we may have to add this fan box. We do not normally charge extra for this service.
9.The connections at the service panel are included in our price.
10.We provide a detailed report on our findings and the work we perform. This report is very valuable for future changes, maintenance, home value for future sales, insurance or other inspectors, etc. Included in the report are photographs of any problem areas before and after. A new detailed panel schedule is installed at the panel and a copy is included in your detail report.
11.We try to coordinate our work with the homeowner. Because our service is so through, it can be somewhat intrusive. We try to make this as comfortable as possible. We will modify our schedule or work in alternate areas if our schedule conflicts with yours.
12.We discuss the completed job with our customers, answering any questions they may have. Your satisfaction is very important to us. We are available to you after the job is complete.
Note:
We clean up after ourselves; however, we ask that the homeowner provide for trash removal.

The cost and related expenses for any required permits and or inspections are additional.

Because most of the material use on these projects are special order we require a 50% deposit prior to placing our order. Jobs cannot be scheduled until the materials have been ordered.
