Proper workmanship is always a factor in the safety of any electrical system. Unfortunately, home wiring is often taken lightly or totally ignored.
Deaths from fires and burns are the fifth most common cause of unintentional injury deaths in the United States (CDC 2005). Four out of five U.S. fire deaths in 2005 occurred in homes (Karter 2006).
We have found problems with copper and aluminum wiring that was improperly installed. We typically find many National Electrical Code violations in the homes we work on. It is alarming how flagrant and dangerous some of these problems are. Many were created by well meaning repair people, relatives, homeowners, and unqualified contractors. How they happened is not so important, correcting them is.
This is why we do not offer any of the temporary or half way measures.
We inspect every accessible connection, junction boxes, outlets, switches, lights, fans, etc. We are not just fixing the problems with aluminum wiring. We often repair dozens of Code violations not related to the aluminum wiring in the home. Your safety, the safety of your loved ones and family are our top priority.
